Kota Kinabalu: The journey between the airport and city, especially for air travellers, will be made shorter soon with the introduction of a 30-seater hovercraft passenger service - the first in Malaysia.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman was said to have been briefed and given the green light for the project.
The 15km hovercraft service from the city and 1Borneo (phase one development of this service) will only take 15 minutes - or one km per minute. That to the airport a little more. The journey will offer a very unique experience and memorable seafront view of the city.
The service is expected to be introduced by City Hall in collaboration with Ramajuta Properties Sdn Bhd whose wholly-owned company Sagajuta (Sabah) Sdn Bhd is developing the hypermall project 1Borneo at Jalan Sulaman, next year.
