MORE than 6,000 paddlers from all over the state are expected to take part in this year’s Sarawak Regatta scheduled from July 30 to August 1 at Sarawak River in Kuching.
Kuching Resident Liew Jiu Ming said that those interested in the event could collect the entry forms from Sarawak River Board’s office at 2nd Floor, Electra House, Power Street in Kuching.
Completed entry form must be returned to the same address by 4pm on July 9, he said.
He said that entry forms received after the closing date would not be entertained.
For enquiries, participants may call 082-234 092/234 093 or send fax to 082-234 096.
According to the Sarawak Gazette, the Sarawak Regatta, touted as one of the state’s premier events, was first held on February 29, 1872, at the Sarawak River fronting the Astana.
