KOTA KINABALU: Other than tourism products, Sabah is also selling "memories" to visitors.
Sabah Tourism Board chairman Datuk Seri Tengku Zainal Adlin Mahmood said tourists came here to experience nature, to mix with locals and taste the food.
"Therefore, the state aims to provide services and products that go beyond their expectation.
"For instance, Sabah is well known for its cheap and fresh seafood, but we also offer diners with 'live' choices in restaurants.
"This shows that Sabah's products are value for money," he said after launching the state wide 1Malaysia Year-End Sale that started yesterday and will end on Jan 1.
The launch was conducted at the weekly Gaya Sunday morning market to promote products, such as handicraft, native costumes and fruits like tarap and bambangan.
