Kuala Penyu tourism industry to be improved

KOTA KINABALU: Kuala Penyu assemblyman Limus Jury has big plans for the constituency and he is working hard to make them a reality.

One of his plans for the next five years is to improve the tourism industry in Kuala Penyu as it has a huge potential for development.

Limus said when campaigning in the 13th general election, he had promised constituents in Kuala Penyu that he would be developing and spurring the district’s tourism attractions and he aims to fulfill that promise.

Speaking to reporters at the Hari Raya open house hosted by Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and wife Toh Puan Norlidah Datuk R.M. Jasni yesterday, Limus pointed out that Kuala Penyu’s tourism potential is on par with other districts.

“I hope to work with the Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry to further develop and improve tourism in Kuala Penyu,” he said, adding that a Kuala Penyu Development Corporation would be set up to formulate a strategy on how best to boost the district’s tourism.
