With a unique name, Mo’ Blow, a four-member jazz band from Germany will bring the nostalgic sounds of the 70’s to the Borneo Jazz Festival in Miri in May.
Having made an appearance at the festival in 2013, these German talents will be back to demonstrate their style and also interspersed with a combination of the Didgeridoo, a native Australian musical instrument, to complement the band’s stage presentation.
According to a statement from Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), the band has performed to world-wide audience and had received the notable Berlin Jazz and Blues Award 2008 and Future Sounds Award 2011.
Under contract with the music label ACT, as part of the German’s young musicians programme “Young German Jazz”, Mo’ Blow had released their album “Gimme The Boots” in 2013.
The two-day jazz music festival will be celebrated at ParkCity Everly Hotel, Miri on May 8 to 9.
Tickets are priced at RM95 for an adult two-day entrance, RM50 for a single entrance and a family package of two adults and two children at RM100.
