RUSH! The Beach Fiesta to coincide with Sarawak Rainforest World Music festival


KUCHING: BEST Solutions Consultants, in support of the Rainforest World Music Festival 2012, is holding the biggest beach event in Sarawak, RUSH! The Beach Fiesta, from July 11 to 15 at Damai Central.

Damai Central is strategically located opposite the Sarawak Cultural Village where the Rainforest World Music Festival is held.

RUSH! is a free access event that offers unique and exciting experience for everyone. A five days zeitgeist spectacle, the event is designed and engineered for excellence.

Throughout the five days, the event will actively promote and cultivate Sarawak arts, music, talents, trends, brands, business entities, conservation efforts and lifestyle. Most importantly, it will provide a new attraction for the Rainforest World Music Festival visitors as well as the masses.

“We offer corporate and individual packages for those who want to set up booths for these five days. The rates for the booths are between RM500 and RM2,000 for individuals while for corporate, the rates are between RM2,000 to RM8,000. All basic necessities will be provided,” said BESTsolutions Consultants managing director Salleh Mohidin in a press conference held at Damai Central near here yesterday.

According to Salleh, the organiser has thus far sold 20 booths, adding that the maximum capacity of the venue is 45 booths.

Patrons who would like to stay at the venue of the event could also rent camping ground from the Damai Central management starting from RM50 per night depending on area required.

“They can either bring their own tent with them or if they do not have a tent, they can rent it from us at RM70 for a two-person tent,” said Damai Bay Management Sdn Bhd marketing executive Clara Liew.

There will be abundance of cool activities during the five-day event such as capoeira workshops, belly dancing workshop, skim boarding workshops, paintball, Chinese Chingay acrobatic performance, hawker food, flea market, tribal tattoo expo, local bands and local DJ.
