Free shuttle bus service for Asia Music Festival

MIRI: Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club, the venue of the Asia Music Festival, will offer a free shuttle bus service on Friday and Saturday.

The service is available for festival-goers or just to reach the golf club and hotel located at Jalan Miri by-pass.

Eastwood Valley marketing director Rebecca Wong said the shuttle bus will leave Eastwood Valley every hour from 5pm until 9pm.

This bus will drop drop off and pick up passengers at Boulevard Shopping Complex (entrance next to KFC), Imperial Shopping Mall (hotel lobby entrance) and Bintang Mega Mall (main entrance near Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf).

The first bus will leave Eastwood Valley at 5pm and reach Boulevard Shopping Complex around 5.15pm, Imperial Shopping Mall around 5.30pm and Bintang Mega Mall around 5.45pm.

The shuttle bus will then return to Eastwood Valley and continue its service at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm before returning to Eastwood Valley around 10pm.

It aims to provide easy access to festival-goers and ease traffic congestion.

The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is promoting ‘greening the festival’ and encouraging festival-goers to use the free shuttle service to reduce their carbon footprint.

“Festival-goers are encouraged to help and put into practise the greening effort as their small but worthy contribution to save the environment,” said STB chief executive officer Datuk Rashid Khan.

At the inaugural event last year, the festival drew over 3,000 people over two days.
