Sarawak utilizing native treat to lure tourists

KUCHING: The traditional art of wellness has long been practised by the natives in Sarawak.

The state government now wants to popularise it among locals and tourists.

“The natives are known to use their own remedies to relieve ailments,” said Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) deputy general manager Wan Liz Ozman Wan Omar.

“For example, ginger in traditional remedies helps to warm the body and muscles and improve blood circulation.”
