Prince William And Kate To Arrive In Sabah Tomorrow

KOTA KINABALU -- All eyes are now focused on tomorrow's historical visit by British royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to this Land Below The Wind.

Everywhere, the Sabah people, especially the city folks here, are excited and eagerly waiting to welcome Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The royal visit provides the Sabah people an opportunity to see the royal couple in person.

"It will definitely be a memorable event for the people in the state, a memory that will be etched in their hearts for decades to come," said Nirona Yon, a Form Six student at SM All Saints here.

She said the royal visit was an honour for Sabah and hence the need for the people to feel proud to have their state selected as one of the destinations for the royal visit to this region.

The royal couple's visit to this city, is scheduled to include a visit to the Danum Valley Conservation Area on Saturday.

A public servant, Shaaron Aloysius, 36, who hails from Penampang, said that the choice of Sabah being selected a location for the royal visit indicated that the state was well-known, especially in efforts to protect the environment.

As such, she said, the people should help to preserve the state's natural beauty for the benefit of future generations.
