Watch Asia’s top Jazzmen on stage at Borneo Jazz 2013

KUCHING: Big names of the asian jazz circle get together to  perform an eclectic selection of old and new standards at the upcoming Borneo Jazz 2013.

Asian Jazz AllStars Power Quartet comprises of Jeremy Monteiro – Singapore’s own ‘King of Swing’ jazz pianist and one of Asia’s most prolific jazz keyboardist & composers, Eugene Pao, Asia’s top jazz guitarist from Hong Kong and the first Hong Kong jazz artist to sign with an international label.

The band also represented by Tots Tolentino, saxophone extraordinaire from Philippines and Hong Chanutr Techatana-nan, one of the most innovative and exciting drummers to emerge in the Asian jazz scene, from Thailand.

When you put four of Asia’s top jazzmen on the same stage you can expect nothing less than an extraordinary power-packed performance.

Eugene’s stratospheric guitar lines & power riffs; Jeremy’s synthesis of bluesy organ licks coupled with Ravel-esque harmonies; Tots’ kaleidoscopic sound shapes & melodic tapestries; plus Hong’s groovy swing juxtaposed with his innovative polyrhythmic embellishments will stimulate you intellectually and warm your hearts at the same time.

They will play an eclectic selection of old and new standards, well spiced with their own original compositions.
