SIBU: The Malay/Melanau Pavilion at Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF) 2016 is set to mesmerise the crowds by showcasing the communities’ rich culture and tradition from July 21 till 27 at Sibu Town Square Phase 1.
The Pavilion working committee chairman Ibrahim Laili told reporters yesterday that a host of programmes had been lined up to excite visitors.
“The Malay/Melanau Pavilion this year differs slightly from that of last year as there would be more emphasis on traditional performances. There would also be a ‘Silat’ demonstration besides live band performance. BCF Star Idol to unearth new singing talent would be held on the closing night of the pavilion on July 27,” Ibrahim said,
adding that the stage performance starts from 8pm till 11pm nightly.
