Art, craft to spice up Rainforest World Music Festival


KUCHING: Two fringe events - the visual folk art forum and craft festival - will add vigour to the already famed Rainforest World Music Festival from July 11 to 13 at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Santubong.

A renowned traditional artist from the United States, Stephen Bennet, will be part of the forum. He will be one of the many presenting a paper.

Sarawak Tourism Board chief executive officer Gracie Geikie yesterday said a number of traditional artists from Malaysia and around the world would also be joining the forum which would be held from July 9 to 12.

The craft festival, which will be held from July 9 to 14, will give opportunities for local craftsmen to meet their foreign counterparts.
