Santubong Festival back with more nature lovers


KUCHING: The Santubong Nature Festival (SNF) has returned for the second year running, bouyed back by popular demand towards conservation work and the celebration of Santubong peninsular’s diverse flora and fauna.

The festival, which started yesterday (Nov 8) and ends today, saw among other programmes such as bicycle riding, dolphin watching, talk on Santubong history, guided walk to Santubong National Park, Survivor Race, and nature walk in the rainforest of Santubong.

According to Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) Datuk Bandar Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Julai, SNF objectives are in line with DBKU’s Clean, Beautiful and Safe (CBS) programme.

“The CBS plan is a comprehensive five-year plan which will turn Kuching into the most talked about city in this region, which is liveable, beautiful and safe for everyone,” said Wahap.
