Sarawak has a lot to offer to tourists

SIBU: Sarawak has a lot to offer where tourists and local enthusiasts alike would be spoilt for choice on the activities available, Assistant Sarawak Tourism Minister Datuk Talip Zulpilip said.

“There is brown rafting shooting the rapids, diving, caving and mountain climbing as there are mountains – Gunung Santubong to Mulu, Murud and so on.

That is ample,” Talip, who is Jepak assemblyman, told The Borneo Post.

He was asked if the ministry was also promoting extreme sports such as BASE jump as part of sports tourism to entice a specific segment of tourists.

Meanwhile, the keenly awaited Sibu BASE jump is set to colour up the skies at Sibu Town Square from Sept 20 till 22.

Jumpers would leap from Wisma Sanyan – Sarawak’s tallest building standing at 126 metres.
