Sarawak travel industry players should synergise health and beauty packages

SARAWAK travel agents should work on developing health and beauty packages to diversify the state’s tourism products.

Sarawak Tourism Federation president Wee Hong Seng felt such niche products were could be in line with Sarawak’s main tourist attraction, flora and fauna.

“There is no demand for this yet but we should not wait for it to happen. We should come up with this sort of packages now because the business opportunity is there.

“Real tourism is where you can come up with a package that could benefit the community as well,” he told reporters after opening the Korean Beauty Square (KBS) store at Tabuan Plaza in Kuching yesterday.

He said as it was, the locals have been dabbling in reflexology in which they had incorporated traditional massages and ointments.

I think that this would be a good idea, we organise the Malaysia Global Business Forum in Kuching Sarawak and the delegates would like to have these options if not for themselves but for their wife.
